(& Tusks Connector)
Sidewinder is an old-school XC-style route that travels southwest from Dyer Meadow to Foothill Rd. Dyer Meadow is a large meadow (with a red gate) and has a number of MAMBA trails which feed into/out of it including Cave Trail, Lickity Split, Rock & a Hard Place, and Sidewinder.
From Dyer Meadow, head southwest on the main road for about 50 yds and look for the hidden trailhead descending to the right into a lush forested region. Sidewinder is a combination of highly grown-in road bed, and hand-built singletrack, with some technical switch backs and climbs scattered throughout.
Near the trail's end, you will see Tusks Connector (0.12 miles in length) branch off to the left and head southeast up to Foothill Rd.
Continuing southwest on Sidewinder brings you to a short, steep, loose climb back to Foothill Rd just before the entrance to The Tusks.
This trail is located on private land and was built by MAMBA with the consent of private landowners for the enjoyment of ALL non-motorized traffic. Please be considerate of the landowners and users of the trail by treading lightly. More on Trail Etiquette...
